Why only two.

An online store and a company hiring its first senior marketer buy in different ways, so they need different first moves. Rather than promise the same package to everyone, we picked the two kinds of business where our own experience runs deepest and wrote a page for each that says what we would do first and why.

For an online store the work is Google and Meta advertising run to return on ad spend, with every order tracked back to the ad that produced it, and store SEO and email added once the ads are paying. For a growing company the work is leadership: a fractional CMO, COO or CRO who sets the plan and runs the team without a full-time salary, with sales training and coaching for the people already there.
