Round 1 / How search works now

Two results, two rulebooks

When someone searches for a dentist, a roofer or a product, Google often answers with two things: a map with three businesses on it, and a list of websites below. Those two results run on different rules, and most businesses only work on one of them.

The map runs on your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and how close you are to the person searching. The list runs on your website: the pages you have, what they say, how fast they load, and who links to you. We work on both, starting with whichever brings in your customers.

Search has also moved into AI answers. When someone asks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews or Perplexity for the best option, the answer is assembled from sites that state plainly what they do, for whom and where. We plan for that too.

Step 01

Audit

We crawl your site, read your Google Business Profile and check where you rank today for the searches that bring customers, so the plan starts from facts.

Step 02

Prioritize

Titles, page headings, speed, broken pages, missing service pages and profile gaps, ranked by impact, with exactly what to change on each page. The unglamorous fixes usually move rankings first.

Step 03

Grow

A search plan built on what your customers actually search and ask, plus the reviews and links that prove you are real.

Round 2 / What it looks like

SEO in practice

Here is how SEO plays out for a few kinds of businesses.

A dental practice competes for "dentist near me" against every practice nearby. The map result depends heavily on reviews and on a profile that lists every service, from cleanings to implants. The work is the profile, a steady way to ask happy patients for reviews, and a plan for a page on the site for each treatment.

A home service company that covers several towns needs a profile that lists the areas it serves and a website with a real page for each, showing the work it has done there, not the same paragraph with the town name swapped.

An online store competes on product and category searches nationwide. Clean product titles, category pages that answer buying questions, and structured data Google can read decide whether it shows up next to the big retailers.

Every one of these starts the same way: find out what your customers type into Google, see who shows up today, and close the gap one fix at a time.

How long does SEO take to work?

Technical fixes and a complete Google Business Profile can move map rankings within weeks. Ranking on page one for competitive searches usually takes three to six months of steady work, and the results keep compounding after that. We show your rankings week by week in the Command Center dashboard so you can see the movement yourself.

What is the Google map pack and how do I get into it?

The map pack is the map with three businesses that Google shows above the regular results for local searches. Google ranks it on relevance, distance and prominence. You cannot change where the searcher is, but you can make your profile complete and accurate, earn reviews regularly, and give your website clear pages for each service and area you serve.

Can I rank locally without an office address?

Yes. Google lets service-area businesses, the ones that go to their customers, hide their address and list the areas they serve instead. Your profile and website then need to make those areas clear. We set this up correctly from the start, because mixing up an address and a service area is one of the most common reasons a profile gets suspended.

Do you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and you should be careful of anyone who does. Google decides rankings. What we guarantee is the work: the audit, the plan and the reporting, all visible in your dashboard, and a plain read every month on what moved and what we do next.

What about ChatGPT and AI search?

AI assistants build their answers from websites that say clearly what a business does, where, and for whom, and from other sites that mention it. The same work that helps you on Google helps here. We also check what the main AI assistants say about your business and track it over time.

Do you work with businesses outside North Carolina?

Yes. Our team works remotely and works with businesses wherever they are, by video call and phone, with every client on the same dashboard.

Do you do SEO for Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, BigCommerce and Wix stores?

Yes. We work with online stores on all of them, on search, Google and Meta ads, and email. Each platform has its own SEO settings and quirks, and we give you a plain list of what to change for yours.
